First Crusade Novels Underway

Rosanne has begun work on a pair of historical novels set during the First Crusade. The plot follows Tancred, a Norman lord from Southern Italy, on his quest to reclaim Jerusalem from the Muslims. The working titles for the two books are Road from the West and Prince of the East. You can read a draft of the first chapter here.

I Serve receives another positive review, this one from Medievalists.net. The reviewer makes an interesting comment about tennis being an anachronistic reference in the book that should be removed. See here for more information on the history of the sport. If it's an anachronism, it's one that William Shakespeare committed too when he had the Dauphin send Henry V a case of tennis balls.
